Filter to the charts

I have been evaluating the free version and I have a concern; I want to add some filter to the charts. eg a dropdown to select "Year" and then the builder can dynamically present the chart based on the year selected.
Would that be easily possible without going to code it myself?

Dashboard Builder has a dropdown gadget that allows you to load difference charts without loading the whole page.

Please can you help with a brief tutorial or documentation on using the filter?
I purchased the Standard Edition a couple of weeks ago and would be super glad to use the filter feature. Thanks in anticipation.

The filter feature is available in in Dashboard Builder version 3.8 and later; to employ the drop down filter in your chart, please follow the user guide at dashboardbuilder.net/apply-filter-to-a-chart
